Van Lake Turks, the largest in the country, and so far, due to the legends of the mythical monster that, allegedly, lives in its depths, attracted a large number of imaginative visitors. Now the researchers have found a specific reason for visiting the Vana – secret underwater castle.

Basically, because of the myths about a mysterious monster that sometimes appears on the surface, Van Lake in Turkey is what Loch Ness is in Scotland and is one of the largest lakes in the world whose waters do not go.

An incredible historical discovery of the fortress beneath the lake, even more intrigued by tourists.

Researchers from Yüzüncü Yıl University show that the chandelier, built of cobbled stones, is about 3,000 years old and one kilometer long

Otherwise, the lake is of volcanic origin and because of the high percentage of salinity it is not freezed even during very low winter temperatures

Salinity (salinity) was affected by the fact that only one species of fish lives in Van, but also the existence of a special breed of cats.

Namely, Van cat, also known as a "floating" cat, is white with fur and often with different colors. Wonders of nature are a protected species because they can be found just near this lake.
